Synthesis, characterization, antifungal properties of quaternary ammonium salts derived from natural rosin

Abstract In the paper, five quaternary ammonium salts derived from rosin were synthesized, characterized and their antifungal activities against different molds studied. Choline salt tetramethylammonium hydroxide synthesized dehydroabietic acid ethanolamine ester which are new compounds propylene pimaric acid. Their structures confirmed by FTIR, 1 HNMR, 13 CNMR, high resolution mass spectrometry. The of tested Oxford cup method, minimum inhibitory concentration was determined. results show that have effects on bamboo slices to some extent. Among them, (A A 2 ) showed obvious activity in test. test anti-mildew effect (B B significant, there almost no mould growth slices. It can be inferred , expected used as mildew inhibitors.
